Joseph M. Meadows, 73, of Easton, formerly of Derry, NH., died Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a period of failing health.
Born in Boston on April 30, 1940, a son of the late John and Patricia (Colligan) Meadows, he was raised in Boston and was a graduate of Hyde Park High School.

A veteran of the US Army during the Vietnam War, he served as a Private in Company D, 1st Airborne Battle Group 501st Infantry, and earned the Parachutist Badge.
Joseph was employed as a bartender for many years and worked at Rockingham Park in New Hampshire.

He is survived by four adult children, Marilyn Meadows of Quincy, Tom Meadows of NY., Cynthia Meadows of Belchertown and Jennifer Meadows of Jamaica Plain; a brother, John Meadows of Plymouth; two sisters, Patricia Crowley of Randolph and Veronica Ferragamo of Easton; two grandchildren, Victoria Mele and Jeremy Mele both of Quincy; and his former wife Marion (Corsi).
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton, followed by a funeral Mass in the Holy Cross Church, Easton, at 11:00 a.m. Interment with military honors will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 2:15 p.m. For directions or condolences visit www.kanefuneralhome.com
