Mary (Gonsalves) Texeira, 94, a longtime resident of Easton, died at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Wednesday, May 15. She was the wife of the late Charles A. Texeira. Born and educated in Stoughton, she resided in Stoughton until 1961 before moving to Easton. Mrs. Texeira was a stitcher at several area businesses and a homemaker. She was a member of the Ladies Garment Workers Union Retirees. Mrs. Texeira was also a volunteer at the Brockton Senior Center. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, crafts and walking and she was a former mall walker at Westgate Mall in Brockton.
Mrs. Texeira is survived by her children, Eileen Soares of S. Easton, Charles A. Texeira, Jr. of FL and Anthony F. Texeira of Plymouth. She was the sister of Manuel Gonsalves of Mashpee, Teresa McGrath of FL, Isabel Hinchliffe of Stoughton, Edward Gonsalves of Brockton and the late Joseph, John, Elizabeth, Anthony and Frank Gonsalves and Augustina Cavanaugh. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Saturday, May 18 at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Easton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Friday from 4-8 PM. Interment will take place at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Easton. Donations in Mary's memory may be sent to the charity of your choice.
