The following is a statement from Easton Police Chief Allen Krajcik:
"The newest members of the Easton Police Department have started working and are midway through their eight week field training program. Matthew Solov and Dennis Kitsos both graduated from the 800 hour Plymouth Police Academy on August 23, 2013. Both are Easton residents and are presently assigned to ride with a Field Training Officer. We are very glad to have them, they are both outstanding individuals who will represent the police department well. The police department is in the process of hiring several more officers for next year.

The Easton Police Department now has 32 full time officers. “A community of our size should have about 38 officers and I am working toward that goal but it will take time. I am very grateful for the support that the Town Administrator, Selectmen, and Finance Committee have given me in my attempt to increase the number of officers on our department.”
