UPDATE: Easton's Williams Taken by Houston Texans

Easton's Brennan Williams was selected in third round of the NFL Draft.

Brennan Williams was selected by the Houston Texans in the third round of the National Football League Draft Friday night. Williams was the 89th player selected overall.

An offensive tackle from the University of North Carolina. Williams was projected to be taken some time between the second and fourth round of this year's draft.

The 6-6 315 pound lineman is a native of Easton and a graduate of Catholic Memorial High School. His father, Brent, played 11 years in the NFL as a defensive lineman, including a stint with the New England Patriots. Williams' brother, also a graduate of CM, plays linebacker at Ohio State and his sister, Jaylen is committed to play basketball at Penn State when she graduates from Archbishop Williams in 2015.

Brennan Williams took over as a starter at North Carolina his junior year. He missed the final four games of 2012 with a shoulder injury. However, he was still named All-ACC Honorable Mention.
