2. Services for George E. Power, who was struck and killed Monday walking his dog, are Thursday night.
3. Friday at Borderland, 259 Massapoag Ave., is the "Off the Beaten Path Hike," from 1 to 2:30 p.m. The hike explores less traveled trails each week in a three to four-mile recreational hike.
4. Also at Borderland this Friday is a tour of the Ames rock garden from 3 to 3:30 p.m. The DCR and Friends of Borderland has been rehabilitating the garden, which is almost done, "so let's explore the gardens with the park interpreter." For adults and older children.
5. The Oliver Ames High School Cross Country teams did well in the 2013 Hockomock League Cross Country Jamboree at Borderland.
