Man, 39, Dead In Easton Motorcycle Crash

EASTON, MA — A 39-year-old man is dead following a motorcycle crash in Easton Wednesday evening, the Easton Police department said in a news release Thursday afternoon.

The crash occurred at around 5:50 p.m. in the 400 block of Turnpike Street, where police found the motorcyclist, Clark Grant, 39, of Taunton, suffering traumatic injuries, police said. An officer and a passerby performed CPR on Clark before he was transported to the hospital, where he died, according to authorities.

A preliminary investigation revealed that Clark was traveling south on Turnpike Street on a Honda motorcycle when, just south of the intersection with Foundry Street, a 40-year-old driver in a Grand Jeep Cherokee exiting a parking lot entered the roadway in the opposite direction and collided with Clark’s motorcycle, according to police.

The Jeep's driver was uninjured, as was a 9-year-old passenger, police said.
