Man Dies In Bridgewater Motorcycle Crash: Police

BRIDGEWATER, MA — Bridgewater police are investigating a motorcycle crash that left a man dead near the intersection of South Street and Winter Street Wednesday night.

Chief Christopher D. Delmonte says officers located a Harley Davidson motorcycle in a wooded area near the intersection.

Michael Wells, 47, of Bridgewater, was located near the motorcycle and suffering from what officers called serious injuries.

Wells was flown to Tufts Medical Center in Boston where he later died from his injuries.

Police and investigators are saying Wells was traveling north on South Street towards Winter Street when he lost control of the bike.

The single-vehicle crash is currently under investigation, and Chief Delmonte says he would like to offer his condolences on behalf of the Bridgewater Police Department to Wells' family and loved ones.
