Obituary: Theresa A. Brennan

Theresa A. (Gardiner) Brennan, a resident of Easton for the past 53 years, died Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, at home under the care of her husband John P. Brennan with whom she has been married to for 38 years.

Born in Houlton, Maine, Aug. 25, 1950, a daughter of Helen E. (McKenna) Gardiner of Middleboro and the late Earl A. Gardiner, she was raised in Easton and was a graduate of Oliver Ames High School, Class of 1968. Theresa worked as the personal secretary to the former president of Mammoth Mart for 15 years. Later she worked for Gilmore Assoc. as an office manager and as a teachers aide for the Easton Public Schools.

Theresa was a member of the Mass Audubon Society and her hobbies included both nature and animals as well as caring for her parrots. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her husband John and her mother, she leaves her siblings, Carl J. Gardiner and wife Susan of Raynham, James G. Gardiner and wife Elvira of Dartmouth, Michael E. Gardiner of Easton, R. Kelly Gardiner and wife Deborah of Easley, S.C., Barbara H. Vesey and husband Jim of Middleboro and Christine M. Weiss and husband Bill of Jackson, N.J.; also leaves several nieces and nephews; and her special little friend, Shea.

Memorial visitation was held Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, from 1-5 p.m. in Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington Street (Rte. 138), Easton.
