Wheaton Farm Community Gardens Ribbon Cutting Set for Saturday
Plots are still available, land use agent says.

Land Use Agent Stephanie Danielson told selectmen Monday night that plots are still available at the Wheaton Farm Community Gardens for those who wish to obtain one.
The Community Gardens will have a ribbon cutting ceremony at 9:30 a.m. to celebrate its opening on the corner of Bay Road and Prospect Street. The gardens will feature 15 20x20 plots and 10 20x10 plots. Rental for a large garden is $75 and the small gardens are $55.
"If someone is interested in a plot, they should contact the planning department," Danielson said.

The area is expected to see a number of improvements, as well.

"I’m sick to death of bringing water in with buckets," Williams joked.
Additionally, Article 22 of this year's Town Meeting Warrant asks for residents to appropriate $60,000 worth of Community Preservation Act funds towards parking improvements at the community gardens.
