2 Taken To Hospital After Cape Cod Crash
It was one of two crashes for a local Cape Cod police and fire department to respond to on a busy Tuesday, officials said.
BOURNE, MA — Bourne first responders dealt with multiple issues on Monday, including two car crashes.
"This afternoon has been exceptionally busy for Bourne Fire/Rescue crews, with two motor vehicle crashes — one serious — and several routine medical calls all within a short span," fire officials said.
First, crews responded to a two-vehicle crash on State Road at the entrance to the Route 3 North on-ramp.

One patient was flown by to the trauma center at Rhode Island Hospital, and a second patient was transported by Wareham EMS to the trauma center at St. Luke’s Hospital, officials said.

Within 30 minutes, crews were dispatched to a second two-car crash on Main Street, where they evaluated two patients on scene who refused treatment and transportation to the hospital.
