Car, Driver Of Interest Located In Falmouth Hit-And-Run
An 81-year-old man was killed Friday night when a car drove onto the sidewalk and hit him from behind.
FALMOUTH, MA — Police in Falmouth have located a car believed to have been involved in a fatal hit-and-run Friday night.
In a tweet Tuesday, police said they also may have found the person driving the car at the time of the crash.
Fatal Pedestrian Crash Update- The Falmouth PD has located a car believed to have been involved in the fatal pedestrian crash that occurred on 9/ 10. The inv has also revealed a person of interest that may have been operating the vehicle. The investigation is active and ongoing.

The crash happened around 11:35 p.m. Friday on Grand Avenue in Falmouth Heights. Police said an 81-year-old man was walking on the sidewalk with three other people when a speeding car drove onto the sidewalk and hit him from behind.

The other three people were not injured.
The driver did not stop, and the car continued east and onto Menauhant Road, police said. The vehicle was described as a red sedan that rides low to the ground. It had heavy windshield damage and likely other front-end damage, police said.
