Falmouth Affordable Housing Project Gets Partial Funding

Selectmen this week approved $650,000 for the project on Brick Kiln Road.

FALMOUTH, MA — The Falmouth Board of Selectmen this week approved $650,000 for an affordable housing project on Brick Kiln Road, according to the Falmouth Enterprise. The money came from the Falmouth Affordable Housing Fund to build 20 affordable units at 123 Brick Kiln Rd.

Developer Northstar LLC requested $975,000 from the Affordable Housing Fund, but the remaining $325,000 will not be available until after Town Meeting approves the Community Preservation Committee's recommendation, the Enterprise reported. The CPC unanimously approved the project last week.

Northstar plans to start construction next month and does not need the full $975,000 until November.
