FALMOUTH, MA — The 50th running of the Falmouth Road Race brought out over 500 runners who competed in the annual summer race. It also generated millions of dollars for area nonprofits.
Falmouth Road Race, Inc. organizers announced that the 2022 race helped raise $6.55 million for 183 Massachusetts-based nonprofits. Included in that number are 14 Falmouth nonprofits, which raised $616,180.
The organization did this through the Numbers for Nonprofits program, which, according to organizers, has grown to include more than 300 different Massachusetts-based charity teams since 2000, and over 3,500 runners per year who commit to fundraising before taking on the 7-mile course.
