Falmouth Walmart Closed Briefly After Electrical Problem
No one was injured and Eversource was able to fix the problem swiftly, local fire officials said.

FALMOUTH, MA — The Falmouth Walmart was closed briefly on Monday morning after employees heard a long bang followed by a power outage.
After the fire alarm was activated, Falmouth officials responded to the Teaticket Highway store around 8 a.m. on Monday.
A store employee told fire officials that they heard the loud bang and a power outage followed the noise.

An investigation found that an electrical problem originated outside the store. Eversource located an "open fusible link" on a nearby utility pole.
Falmouth's electrical inspector checked the building and found no hazards, allowing the Walmart to reopen.
