South Station Eatery Closes, New Farm To Table Spot: MA Food Week

MASSACHUSETTS — Welcome to Patch's weekly round up of food and restaurant news in Massachusetts, where we review openings, closings and more in the state's dining scene.

Big news out of Salem for the state's farm-to-table dining scene, as the owners of an urban farm in the city are planning to open a new restaurant.

The owners of Maitland Mountain Farm, the urban farm located on Cedar Crest Avenue, announced plans on social media to open Maitland Farm Kitchen and Spirits at 84 Derby Street. The location is the former home of the Jean Louis Pasta Shop.

Ward 7 City Councilor Andy Varela and Holly Maitland Varela will own and operate the restaurant.
