Teenager Dies In Cape Cod Car Crash: DA

Two others were injured in the Friday afternoon crash that caused "catastrophic damage" to the vehicle, officials said.

FALMOUTH, MA — One teenager is dead after a single car crash on Cape Cod, the Cape and Islands District Attorney's Office said.

State Police and first responders responded to Route 28 North in Falmouth after receiving multiple calls about the crash around 4 p.m. Friday.

Upon arrival, they found a car off the roadway and down an embankment with "catastrophic damage," the DA's Office said.

One occupant was located underneath the car and was determined to be "no longer viable for resuscitation," officials said.

Two other injured occupants of the vehicle were located outside of the car. One individual was med-flighted to a trauma center, and a second person was ultimately transferred to a Boston area hospital.
