Wareham Man Indicted On Child Porn Charges

WAREHAM, MA — A Wareham man has been indicted for allegedly possessing and receiving child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

Brandon Bendall, 49, was indicted on one count of possession of child pornography and one count of receipt of child pornography. He was arrested and charged by criminal complaint on May 2.

According to court documents, Bendall allegedly was a member of an on-line chat group in which members viewed and posted child sexual abuse material. During a search of Bendall’s residence and cell phone, approximately 9,400 images and videos, including images of children as young as infants being sexually assaulted, were allegedly located.

The charge of receipt of child pornography provides for a sentence of at least five years and up to 20 years in prison, at least five years and up to a lifetime of supervised release and a fine of up to $250,000. The charge of possession of child pornography carries sentence of up to 20 years in prison.
