The following information was supplied by the Boston Police Department. Charges listed do not indicate convictions. Boston Police responded to a report of an assault and battery at about 2 a.m. on Thursday, July 19.   Officers found the victim sitting on a bench at the intersection of Carlton Street and Commonwealth Avenue. Officers approached the victim and saw that her knees were bleeding along with her right elbow.   When the officers asked what had happened, she said that the suspect pushed her and she fell over.   A witness told police that they saw the suspect grabbed the victim's face. The witness then tried to intervene. Officers located a man who matched the description and arrested him.   Police arrested Derek Johnson of 116 Westfield Road, North Attleborough, MA and charged him assault and battery.
