Things to Know in Fenway-Kenmore Today, Feb. 20: Community Planning Meeting with Fenway CDC

Here are a few things worth knowing in the neighborhood today.

1. Weather: The National Weather Service is predicting increasing clouds, with a high near 38 degrees and wind gusts up to 30 mph. 

2. Community Meeting: Tonight, come to a community planning meeting put on by the Fenway Center for Community Developmentto address affordable housing, institutional expansion, local businesses, disability access and other neighborhood issues. The meeting will be held on Wed. night at Fenway Health (1340 Boylston St.) at 6 p.m. See here for more information.

3. Saxophonist at Darryl's: Head to Darryl's Corner Bar & Kitchen (604 Columbus Ave.) tonight at 7 p.m. to hear critically acclaimed saxophonist Nat Simpkins. Simpkins has performed all over the world at major venues and continues to be active as a saxophonist on the international music scene. See here for more information.

4. New England Home Show: New England's largest and longest running home show returns starting today through Feb. 24 at the Seaport World Trade Center (200 Seaport Blvd.) The show will cover everything from gardening to flooring, to techniques to tools, and there will be more than 500 experts on hand to answer your DIY questions while providing hands-on demos. Tickets cost $12.
