Things to Know in Fenway-Kenmore Today, May 20: Local Night at Whole Foods

1. Weather: The National Weather Service is predicting a partly sunny day, with a high near 79 degrees and a 50 percent chance of showers and a thunderstorm in the morning. 

2. Local Night : It's local night at Whole Foods Market Symphony (15 Westland Ave.) That means there will be free samples from 5-7 p.m. from local artisan bakers, coffee brewers and more. See here for more information. 

3. Biker Killed: Sad news to report over the weekend: A 20-year-old woman was killed in Kenmore Square when she was hit by a car while on her bike on Sunday afternoon. See here for more information. 

4. BU Commencement:  BU's graduation ceremony was held yesterday, and thus, many of the 7,000 or so students who graduated will soon be leaving the Fenway area off to pursue jobs and interests in other places. Two BU students who died this year were honored during the ceremony, Lu Lingzi, the student killed in the marathon bombing, and Binland Lee, the senior undergraduate who died in a fire last month.
