Things to Know in Fenway-Kenmore Today, May 8: Muddy River Blasts Continue
Find out what you should know in Fenway-Kenmore today.

1. Weather: The National Weather Service is predicting a cloudy day, with a high near 70 degrees and a 50 percent chance of showers or a thunderstorm.
2. Muddy River: The construction at the Muddy River project will continue its "statnamic testing," today, Wednesday. What does that mean for you? Loud booms and bangs today from 9:30 to 3:30 p.m. Officials are urging Fenway residents and visitors not to be alarmed. See here for more information.
3. Pops for Joslin: This year, Joslin Diabetes Center will host their 27th annual celebration, Evening at Pops, at Boston’s Symphony Hall (301 Mass. Ave) on Friday night at 6 p.m. The event will feature Disney’s groundbreaking marriage of symphonic music and animation from Fantasia. Tickets are on sale now for $100-$200 each. 4. Swans are Back: In case you missed it yesterday, the public garden's two swans, Romeo and Juliet, are back in the park. They were greeted by a large parade. Check out a video here.
5. Boston Bites Back: There's a special fundraiser coming up next week at Fenway Park - Boston Bites Back, a chef-inspired event held at Fenway Park in support of The One Fund. Brought to you by Ming Tsai, Ken Oringer, Governor Patrick, Mayor Menino, and in partnership with ARAMARK and the Red Sox. May 15, 2013 from 6pm – 10pm. Tickets are $200 each.
