Roche Tops Lally In 1st Bristol District 2022 Primary Election: AP

BRISTOL COUNTY, MA — All precincts are reporting in the race to become the next Democratic candidate for a state representative seat in the 1st Bristol District.

Brendan Roche won Foxborough, Mansfield and Norton on his way to the Democratic nod in the race for the Democratic nod in the 1st Bristol District, according to the Associated Press.

The race was incredibly close even though Roche won all three towns, garnering less than 300 more votes than Lally.

Roche will run against Rep. F. Jay Barrows in the general election. Barrows was unopposed in the primary.

  • Peter Lally - 1,583

Some of the first votes to give a picture of the race came from Foxborough, who released their unofficial results as of 9:42 p.m. on Tuesday. Here's how the town voted:

  • Peter Lally - 727
  • Brendan Roche - 786
