2018 Foxborough Town Election: Newcomer Wins Selectmen Seat
Find out who won the two contested races at this year's election.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — Less than 300 votes was the difference between winning a seat on the board of selectman and being the odd person out.
First time candidate Leah Gibson was elected to the board with 1,319 votes, beating third place finisher Selectman Ginny Coppola by 298 votes. Coppola was first elected to the board in 2012 and won reelection in 2015. Selectman Chris Mitchell was the top vote getter with 1,370.
Richard Pearson, the former assistant principal of Foxborough High School, won a seat on the board along with incumbent Tina Belanger. Pearson earned 1,230 votes while Belanger led the pack with 1,449. Nancy Morrison, won was running for a second time, finished in third place with 835.

Todd Whitehouse was elected to the board of health with 50 write-in votes.
