CORRECTION: Father Steve Madden at St. Mary's Church in Foxborough has informed Foxborough Patch there WILL NOT be a prayer meeting at the church Thursday night for the victims of the Boston Marathon. The e-mail chain Patch received Tuesday announcing the meeting is from another St. Mary's Church in the area. No services have been planned at St. Mary's in Foxborough, according to Madden.

2. Selectmen Candidates to Not Signs on the Common Saturday
Foxborough Board of Selectmen candidates Lynda Walsh and Jim DeVellis spoke after Tuesday's selectmen meeting and decided it was best to forgo Signs on the Common Saturday in light of Monday's attacks on the Boston Marathon.

"Jim and I had a conversation and in light of the tradegy only a few short days ago, we feel it's best to put the signs down this Saturday morning and focus on family and friends," Walsh said. "We'll be back at it next Saturday."
Said DeVellis: "Asking our DEVELLIS supporters to take a break this weekend from holding our signs on our Foxborough Common. As our town flag is flying at half mast, please take time to be with your family and friends and perhaps do something nice in your own way."
