AdCom Says No To Airing Meetings
One member said they'd rather have people read notes than watch the meetings on television.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — Foxborough's advisory committee will remain off the air, despite a push for their meetings to be recorded for broadcast.
Town Moderator Frank Spillane advised the committee against such a move during a recent meeting, according to the Foxboro Reporter. He stated that it is not their job to educate the public, but only to make a recommendation on the town meting warrant.
Other committee members backed Spillane's recommendation including Stephanie McGowan who mentioned that seeing something about her on the Foxboro Discussion Facebook group may cause her to refrain from asking questions, Robert Canfield who said he'd rather have people read notes than watch meetings, and Larry Ooi who suggested that committee members may not ask certain questions if they are filmed.

Many residents and officials in town called for the advisory committee to allow their meetings to be aired on television following a town meeting which went two nights and saw some people admit during warrant discussions that they've never heard about what was being proposed.
In other advisory committee news, the committee approved the minutes for eight meeting between Feb. 8 and April 25.
