Foxboro Expecting New Bakery 'Sweetness and Honey' Soon
Sweetness and Honey Bakery is coming: here's an inside scoop on what you can expect with the new shop's opening.

FOXBORO, MA — What started as a hobby quickly turned into a booming business for Foxboro native Kerri Vogler who says she just liked to bake for her coworkers.
After operating out of her house for a year and a half, Vogler says business at Sweetness and Honey actually picked up surprisingly well during the pandemic. No surprise there, as I myself just recently stopped having "second dessert," many people turned to comfort foods and sweets.
During last year's COVID-19 lockdown, Vogler says she started her baking journey by learning how to make french macarons out of her house. Her unique spins on the difficult-to-make treat set her apart from other bakeries, and leave a lasting impact on whoever enjoys them.

With a busy business operating out of her house, Vogler decided she needed more space to be able to produce her now wildly popular treats. She applied for her commercial business license and bought a storefront out of Foxboro Center with her fiancé.
Located at 46 Central Street, right in the center of town near the rotary, Sweetness and Honey's new location was previously an insurance agency, but will now be home to a locally-owned bakery on a high-commuting path for people looking to stop in and bring a little sweetness into their everyday life.

Vogler says she has acquired quite a few customers by selling birthday cakes and macarons, and just last April, Vogler found herself making the birthday cake of the King of Foxboro himself, Bill Belichick, coach of the New England Patriots.
The cake was a marble flavor with vanilla frosting and shaped like Belichick's iconic game day attire - the gray, cut-off hoodie.
Vogler says none of this could have been accomplished without the support of her family and her fiance. "I'm just so grateful for all of the love and care everyone has shown me through all of this," Vogler said. "I'm especially looking forward to working alongside my mom."
Vogler and her fiancé are getting married in November, leaving little time to prepare for the shop's grand opening, but she says they plan to have Sweetness and Honey up and running before Christmas and the holiday season.
In the meantime, Vogler will still operate business as usual, with custom orders running under her residential kitchen permit for now, but with the shop, she says she'll be able to do a lot more.
A master of cakes, cupcakes, macarons, and more, Vogler now says she wants to experiment with sugar cookies and grow even more options from there.
"My sweet tooth gave me an excuse to bake and try new techniques," Vogler said. "I started baking for friends, family, coworkers, and even including cakes in my photo sessions for 1-year-olds until I decided to take the leap and open a bakery."
Sweetness and Honey will be located at 46 Central Street in Foxboro and is expected to be open in early December.
