Foxborough Police Arrest Man Charged In Norfolk Break-In

Police say Dana Durfee drove at speeds around 70 mph while refusing to stop for police.

NORFOLK, MA — A Quincy man on parole was arrested in Foxborough following a high-speed chase that started in Norfolk.

Dana M. Durfee, 43, was arraigned in Wrentham District Court Tuesday on charges of breaking and entering, possession of burglar's tools, attempted larceny and failing to stop for police, according to the Sun Chronicle. Durgee, who previously spent time behind bars for breaking and entering, was ordered held without bail.

A Norfolk home resident told police that he found Durfee inside his home Monday afternoon. Police say the Quincy man fled the home and left in his vehicle, which was in the driveway. Norfolk Officer James Hazeldine Jr. spotted the vehicle while on patrol and attempted to pull the car over.

The car kept going towards Foxborough, allegedly reaching speeds of 70 mph and passing vehicles in no-passing zones. Durfee was stopped by Foxborough Police on Turner Road.

Durfee previously served over three years in prison for breaking and entering charges in Middlesex and Barnstable counties. He is due back in court Aug. 10.
