Homes Sales Flat in Foxboro But Prices Increase

Foxborough saw its home sales remain flat in August, according to data released by real estate information firm The Warren Group, 

According to the report, there was no change in August sales in Foxborough with 18 homes being sold in both 2012 and 2013. Year to date sales, however, are slightly down from 99 in 2012 to 97 in 2013.

The median sale price for the month is up 28.10 percent. In Aug. 2013, the median price was $359,000, up from $280,250 in Aug. 2012.

The year to date median sale price is also up from $321,500 in 2012 to $355,000 this year.

In Massachusetts, 5,925 homes sold in Aug. 2013, a 23.77 percent increase over last August's 5,204 sales.

Overall 33,523 houses have been sold this year compared to 31,851 homes in the same time period last year.

The median sale price in the state went up 10.57 percent from $307,500 in Aug. 2012 to $340,000 in Aug. 2013.
