More Floats Needed For Founders Day
While there are nearly 50 groups signed up to march in the parade, there are only five floats.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — The 2018 Foxborough Founders Day Parade could use a few more floats for the annual town celebration.
Monica Fisler of the Foxborough Founders Day committee told the selectmen Tuesday night that they only have five floats signed up for the parade. Event organizers are hoping that a few more join the celebration prior to the May 26 deadline.
This year’s theme is “Foxborough Founders Day Celebrates 30 Years." Three awards will be presented to the floats which are the the most beautiful, most original, and best illustrates the theme.

Non-profits will not have to pay a fee and commercial groups can enter a float for $40. There is a $30 late fee for any entrants after the deadline.
Aside from floats, the usual collection of police cruisers, fire trucks, and local groups are expected to make up the parade. As of May 15, there are 48 groups signed up, according to the Founders Day website.
