Obituary: Remembering 62-Year Foxborough Resident William Gatulis

William Gatulis, 95, passed away on Dec. 23, 2012. He was a 62-year resident of Foxborough and a Masoneilan employee for 44 years.

William Joseph Gatulis, 95, died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012 at the Epoch of Norton surrounded by the comfort of his loving family. He was the son of the late Charles and Alice (Gaterackas) Gatulis.

Bill was born on May 16, 1917 in Boston and was a graduate of Boston Mechanical Arts High School, Class of 1934. He and his wife Alma were married in 1940. He has been a Foxborough resident for the past 62 years.

Bill was employed at Masoneilan for 44 years. While at Masoneilan he was an all-around machinist, foreman and retired as shop superintendent in 1981. Bill was handy around his home, enjoying home improvement projects. He was a former member of the Foreman’s Club of Boston. He was a hobbyist, clockmaker, New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Beloved husband of the late Alma (Hersey) Gatulis. Loving father of William P. Gatulis and his wife Edeltraud “Edie” of North Attleboro and Gary V. Gatulis and his wife Marion of Foxborough. Devoted grandfather of Monica DeBlois, Sharon Liberman, Lisa Manion and the late Caroline Tinkham. Brother of the late Josephine Ulackas and Francis Gatulis.
