Papa Gino's, D'Angelo Serve Up $3,000 To Foxboro Food Pantry

The longtime neighbors have officially joined forces in Foxborough. Their combined first day sales were donated to a local food pantry.

The restaurants served up a check worth $3,055.66 to Co-Coordinators and Foxboro Discretionary Board Members​ Sue Blake and Pam Freitas​. The money will help provide meals for Foxborough individuals and families.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — Iconic New England brands Papa Gino's Pizzeria and D'Angelo Grilled Sandwiches have come together under one roof in Foxborough, the pair's parent company announced.

The 211 North Street location opened April 25, serving pizzas, sandwiches, soups and more. 100 percent of the proceeds from opening day sales were donated to the Foxboro Food Pantry.

The restaurants served up a check worth $3,055.66 to Co-Coordinators and Foxboro Discretionary Board Members Sue Blake and Pam Freitas. The money will help provide meals for Foxborough individuals and families.

"The Foxboro Food Pantry and the Foxboro Discretionary Fund are extremely grateful for this generous donation," Blake and Freitas said. "These are very difficult and challenging times for many in our community and this money will help keep our shelves at the food pantry stocked for many months."

Papa Gino's Pizzeria and D'Angelo Grilled Sandwiches have served the neighborhood for a combined 48 years as neighbors.

"We’re grateful for the chance to give back to a neighborhood that has supported us for decades," Tom Sterrett, President and CEO of New England Authentic Eats said.

The two brands have a history of working alongside local organizations, with programs like Papa Gino's Raise Some Dough Fundraiser, offering nonprofit groups 20% of pre-tax sales over five hours. D'Angelo holds a similar fundraiser.
