Patriot Place Outdoor Pickleball Courts Open This Week

The outdoor courts are in partnership with ELEVENO, which will also open an indoor facility there this fall.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — Outdoor pickleball courts are coming to Patriot Place, and they'll be open in time for the weekend.

Patriot Place and ELEVENO Pickleball are teaming up to bring outdoor pickleball courts to the shopping, dining and entertainment destination. The courts officially open on Friday for locals.

The festivities will continue through the weekend, as the new facility will host the third annual Patriot Place Pickleball Classic on Aug. 2 and 3.

Following this weekend’s tournament, pickleball players will be able to attend programming and reserve court space through the end of October, at which point the courts will close for the season to begin the installation of the seasonal skating center, Winter Skate.

The 17,000-square-foot facility will feature six professional courts, a shaded player lounge, food and beverage offerings and more, officials said.

This new facility will be within a converted parking lot, located across from Trader Joe’s and Restoration Hardware Outlet, on the same footprint as Winter Skate.

Fear not, though, fall and winter pickleball players.

Patriot Place and ELEVENO Pickleball recently announced the opening a new 40,000-square-foot indoor pickleball facility this fall.

It will be built within the location most recently occupied by Christmas Tree Shops in Patriot Place’s South Marketplace, located next to Trader Joe’s and RH Outlet.

The indoor facility, coupled with the outdoor facility, will establish a "premier pickleball destination and social hub in the heart of Patriot Place," officials said.

With nine professional courts, a food and beverage concept, private event space, Pro Shop and courtside seating, this new indoor pickleball hub is complete with everything players of all ages and skill sets need to enjoy this fast-growing sport year-round, officials hope.

The facility will also offer a full-service kitchen and quick-service options, with a curated menu designed for an “eatertainment” experience. The nine courts will surround a center court café and bar with counter service, with each court also featuring a lounge with food and beverage access.
