Patriots' Isaiah Wynn Out For Season: Report
New England's first-round pick reportedly suffered an Achilles injury.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — New England Patriots rookie offensive lineman Isaiah Wynn is reportedly done for the year after suffering an injury in Thursday night's game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Wynn tore his Achilles in the preseason game and will not play for the rest of the season. Wynn was carted off the field after going down in the first half of the game. The team initially said he was being evaluated for an ankle injury.
Wynn, a University of Georgia product, was selected by the Patriots with the 23rd pick in the first round of the NFL Draft. He was expected to fill the role left empty by the departure of Nate Solder, but that responsibility could now go to the 6-8, 380-pound Trent Brown, who came to New England this year after three years in San Francisco.
