Patriots Legend Bill Belichick Explains How To Win In Forthcoming Book

The greatest coach in franchise — and maybe NFL — history is writing a book about, you guessed it, "The Art of Winning".

Bill Belichick is perhaps the greatest coach in NFL history. He is without a doubt the greatest coach in the history of the New England Patriots.

So it makes sense that Belichick's debut book would be about the topic of winning football games.

"The Art of Winning: Lessons from a Life in Football" is due out this May from Simon & Schuster. Among those to give early quotes about the book are Tom Brady, Nick Saban and Michael Jordan.

"Coach Belichick brought out the best in me. His book will do the same for you. He will tell you how he did his job, which allowed us all to compete for championships year after year. There is no coach I would have rather played for. And in this book, you will find out the reasons why," Brady said.

The book was written in 2024, the year in which Belichick was absent from the sidelines of a football field.

"He spent that year writing down the principles he learned from his father, Navy football, and from his forty-nine-year coaching career," a description for the book read.

Belichick’s legacy is unimpeachable: six Super Bowls as head coach, second all-time in wins and, alongside Tom Brady, he was one of the two most crucial elements to a dynasty the league — one based on parity — had never seen before.

He is one of only three coaches to have won six Super Bowls and won the AP Coach of the Year award three times. A student of the game, Belichick's legacy is cemented in the history books as the coaching selection for the NFL 2000s and 2010s All-Decade Team, and a selection on the 100th Anniversary All-Time Team.

This year, Belichick accepted the head coaching job at the University of North Carolina, his first head job in the college ranks.
