FOXBOROUGH, MA — The Patriots are out a wide receiver after being unable to make things work with a former 1,000-yard receiver. Kenny Britt's agent has confirmed reports that his client has been released by the team. He was signed last year after a short stint in Cleveland, but never seemed to click with Tom Brady and the offense. Britt entered 2017 after a season which saw him catch 68 passes for 1,002 yards and five yards. He was released from the Browns after nine games and signed with New England, playing three games and catching only two balls. He was left inactive for the Super Bowl.
