Patriots Surprise Children Of Military Members With Bikes

The bikes were built on site by CarMax employees without realizing that they were going to be presented to the kids that day.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — A group of children who are a part of military families got more than they expected when they visited Patriots Training Camp Thursday.

The kids, who were at practice thanks to a partnership between the Patriots Foundation, CarMax and Blue Star Families, all received new bicycles from various Patriots players following the end of practice. All 20 children who received bikes have active duty family members. They also received a front row view of the practice session.

"Being around my kids all summer and every day, it’s nice to see some kids. Hanging around kids, it’s easy to interact with them. They’re so excited to see you. They don’t really know who you are," kicker Stephen Gostowski told Patriots.com. "They say, ‘Are you Tom Brady?’ It’s a lot of fun. To get a nice bike from Patriots players, that’s got to be a pretty cool experience."
