FOXBOROUGH, MA — Less than one year after the Red Wing Diner near Gillette Stadium said it was simply closing for repairs, it has been officially sold, according to The Patriot Ledger.

Red Wing — an old-school diner that served fried seafood, burgers and pizza since the 1930s— went for $1.2 million and the space is set to be transformed into Blondie's Barbecue, the outlet reported.

The husband and wife duo behind Blondie's, Peter and Patricia Crowley, met at culinary school and have owned Café G at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston since 2002.
