Rescue Worker Struck By Vehicle on Route 1 Sunday

An EMT worker was hospitalized after he was struck by a vehicle on Route 1.

One person was hospitalized Sunday night after he was struck by a vehicle on Route 1.

Massachusetts State Police spokesman Thomas Murphy said the victim was taken to Norwood Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The victim, an EMT worker for Fallon ambulance, was outside of his ambulance on the side of the road on Route 1 North near Rodman Ford when he was struck by a 2014 Chevy Impala, according to Murphy.

Murphy said the accident occurred at approximately 6:05 p.m. No other injuries were reported in the incident.
