Tom Brady Return 'Not Looking Good,' Reports Say

One report said Brady is entering free agency "with the intention of departing," though the team will have a chance to convince him to stay.

Reports out Thursday indicate the chances of Tom Brady returning to the Patriots in 2020 are getting slimmer by the day.

The Patriots have yet to get in touch with the 42-year-old quarterback's representation, the Boston Herald's Karen Guregian reported. Guregian quoted one source who said chances for a reunion are "not looking good"

Meanwhile, Brady is prepared to enter free agency March 18 under the assumption he'll be looking for a new franchise with which to continue his Hall of Fame career, ESPN reported.

"While Brady has his eyes very clearly on free agency, there is still a belief in his circles that the Patriots will have their opportunity to convince Brady to stay," ESPN said. "But at this point, Brady is evaluating the NFL landscape with the intention of departing, sources said."

Brady turns 43 in August.

The Las Vegas Raiders, Tennessee Titans and Los Angeles Chargers have all been heavily linked to the Brady pursuit.
