FOXBOROUGH, MA — International superstar The Weeknd will play Gillette Stadium in Foxborough this week.

The Weeknd, who was born Abel Tesfaye, was unable to tour his 2020 album, 'After Hours', during the COVID-19 pandemic, but he'll make up for it on his current tour.

On that tour, beginning this summer, he'll not only tour 'After Hours', but his newest album, 'Dawn FM'. The tour stops in Foxborough on Thursday. Limited tickets are still available, starting around $59.

Both albums were reviewed positively on Pitchfork, with 'After Hours' receiving a 7.9, and 'Dawn FM' securing an 8. Not only that, but The Weeknd has become a bonafide celebrity since he broke out in the 2010's with his mixtape series that has since been put on streaming services under the name 'Trilogy'.

"Blinding Lights" is The Weeknd's biggest hit, according to the Billboard charts, sitting comfortably at the number one spot for 35 weeks beginning in 2020. That record is likely a big part in the artist, whose brith name is Abel Tesfaye, played the Super Bowl halftime show in 2021.

Canadian electronic artist Kaytranada and DJ-producer Mike Dean will provide support for the show. The show will start at 6:30 p.m. with parking lots scheduled to open at 2:30 p.m. and gates opening at 4:30 p.m.
