Charter Commission Holds Final Public Hearing Tuesday

Have thoughts? Now's the time to voice them.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — The Framingham Charter Commission hosts its final public hearing Tuesday, 7 p.m., in Nevins Hall at the Memorial Building.

The elected, nine-member group is tasked with setting a charter for Framingham's government structure going forward, picking either a town or city structure, and the specific forms therein.

In the current draft, commission members have determined Framingham will keep its "town" moniker, but function as a city, with a publicly elected mayor sitting in the executive office.
