College Admission Seminar Wednesday at Framingham Library

Parents of high school students - from incoming freshmen through juniors - are encouraged to attend.

CollegeBound Community Services, a non-profit organization created by CollegeBound Coaching to help high school students to develop leadership skills through community service, to help parents to learn more about the college admissions process, and to help deserving, underprivileged students to fulfill their potential by attending college, will host College Admissions 2.0, a free workshop at the , Wednesday, May 30,
from 7-9 p.m. While admission is free, reservations are required.

CollegeBound Community Services has invited select educational consultants and other experienced, qualified professionals from throughout New England to address a number of important topics, such as:

  • How should a student decide where to apply to college?
  • How can students position themselves so as to improve their chances for admission?
  • How can parents figure out their best strategy for receiving merit-based financial aid? Other aid?
  • How can a student-athlete get recruited (and maybe receive an athletic scholarship)?
  • What role does community service play in the college admissions process?
  • What are the differences between the SAT and the ACT?
  • What makes the “perfect” essay?
  • How to plan college visits?
