Worcester Woman Dies In Car Crash With Tractor-Trailer In Framingham
The accident occurred when a red car slammed into a tractor-trailer in the westbound lane of the Mass Pike at around 3 a.m. Friday

FRAMINGHAM, MA - A Worcester woman was killed in a car crash in Framingham on the Massachusetts Turnpike early Friday morning, according to news reports.
The red sedan crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer on the westbound side of the highway at about 3 a.m. this morning near the Grove Street overpass. The front of the sedan was torn apart and wedged under the truck in the collision.
Massachusetts State Police from the Weston barracks responded to the crash at 2:40 a.m. at the accident at the 113.6 mile marker. They discovered a 2020 Mini Cooper, operated by a 29-year-old Worcester woman, had struck the trailer being pulled by the truck.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and there were no other occupants in the vehicle, according to authorities. A preliminary investigation showed that the Mini Cooper was possibly speeding prior to rear ending the tractor trailer. No other vehicles are believed to have been involved in the crash.
The name of the driver has not yet been released. An investigation is ongoing.

The accident shut down the middle and left-hand lanes beginning at 7 a.m. The car was towed away before 9 a.m., according to reports.
