Ethical Leadership Professor Keynote Speaker at 26th Annual MLK Memorial Breakfast
Greater Framingham Community Church will host the 26th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial breakfast on Monday Jan. 21.
Greater Framingham Community Church invites Framingham and MetroWest communities to join it in celebrating the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., at its 26th Annual Memorial Breakfast on Monday, Jan.
21 at 8 a.m. at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Natick.
The theme of this year’s breakfast is The Search for Character, Civility and Community. Tickets are still available.
“Our annual MLK breakfast is a wonderful community tradition of celebrating the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.,” said Rev. Dr. J. Anthony Lloyd, Pastor of Greater Framingham Community Church. “This year we are so pleased to have a lineup including NECN anchor Latoyia Edwards, our keynote Walter Earl Fluker and musician Julian Johnson, join us in this wonderful occasion of celebrating Dr. King’s dream with us.”

Highlights of the breakfast include:
- The emcee is Latoyia Edwards, an emmy-award winning primetime evening anchor on NECN, anchoring The News at 4, The News at 5, The News at 7, The Only News at 9, and NECN Business
- The keynote will be delivered by Boston University’s Walter Earl Fluker, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Professor of Ethical Leadership and editor of the Howard Thurman Papers Project. He was founding executive director of the Leadership Center and the Coca-Cola Professor of Leadership Studies at Morehouse College. The founder of VisionQuest International and Walter Earl Fluker and Associates, he is a featured speaker, lecturer and workshop leader at foundations, businesses, corporations, colleges, universities and religious institutions as well as a consultant to both national and international organizations;
- Music provided by Julian Johnson is currently attending the prestigious Berklee College of Music, pursuing a dual major Bachelor's Degree in Music Production & Engineering and Music Education, with a minor in Psychology. While at Berklee he is under the tutelage and leadership of the well know organist and Assistant Professor Dennis Montgomery III. Johnson has had the honor of performing with artist and groups such as Tye Tribbett, Freda Battle, Steve Lawrence, Devine Purpose, Michael Bradley & Devine Worship.
