Expect Delays as Detours Continue on Edgell, Belknap and Grove
Construction crews will continue to perform water main and sewer main construction on Cliford Street and Mellen Street.
Here is an update on other road projects in town, thanks to the :
“A” Street: Sewer main adjustments will be performed on “A” Street. Construction activities will restrict normal traffic patterns to a one lane alternating traffic pattern through the work zone, please use caution while travelling in this area. Construction activities are scheduled to take place between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Anzio Road: Construction crews will be performing water and sewer service work. Construction activities will restrict normal traffic patterns to a one lane alternating traffic pattern through the work zone, please use caution while travelling in this area. Construction activities are scheduled to take place between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Clifford Street and Mellen Street:
Construction crews will continue to perform water main and sewer main construction on Cliford Street and Mellen Street. While construction activities are in progress Clifford Street and Mellen Street will be restricted to local traffic only. Construction activities are scheduled to take place between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Concord Street: Fiber optic communication line installation, sidewalk restoration and sewer manhole adjustments will occur on Concord Street north of Cochituate Road (Route 30) and south of School Street. An additional fiber optic installation crew is anticipated to begin work on Concord Street adjacent to the Worcester Road (Route 9) ramp to Concord Street (Route 126) north. Construction activities may restrict normal traffic patterns to one lane alternating, please use caution while travelling in this area. Construction activities are scheduled to take place between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Edgell Road: While deep gravity sewer main construction is in progress, southbound traffic on Edgell Road will be detoured from Edgell Road to Belknap Road. Automobile traffic will be routed from Belknap Road to Grove Street and from Grove Street to Vernon Street, and back onto Edgell Road. Due to height restrictions truck traffic will be routed from Belknap Road to Pleasant Street and from Pleasant Street to Vernon Street. Emergency vehicles, oversized tractor trailers and school buses will proceed through the work zone. Construction activities are scheduled to take place between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Police detail officers will be present to ensure safe vehicular and pedestrian travel.
