Former Framingham Housing Authority Employee Pleads Guilty to Embezzling Rent Payments
A Milford woman pleaded guilty to embezzling over $70,000 in rent payments.

BOSTON, MA – A Milford woman pleaded guilty today in U.S. District Court in Boston in connection with embezzling over $70,000 in rent payments owed to the Framingham Housing Authority (FHA), the U.S. District Attorney's office said Tuesday.
According to the DA, 33-year-old Rosa Famania pleaded guilty to one count of embezzling money from an agency receiving federal funds. She will be sentenced for the crime on March 14, 2017.
Famania allegedly deposited thousands into her own accounts, then used the FHA's software program to adjust renters' payments downward, masking her subterfuge. Patch first reported the charges in June.
