41 grant applications, requesting a total of $35,172.
Of these 26 grants awarded, 21 are for artistic projects and activities in Framingham and 5 provide subsidies for school-aged children to attend cultural field trips.
The grants are for exhibits, festivals, short-term artist residencies, performances in schools, workshops, lectures and support for 2 capital projects.

Framingham Cultural Council (FCC) Chair P. Nandi Varris said “Art motivates us to create new ideas, to understand different viewpoints, and to communicate with individuals, communities and nations. FCC is grateful to the variety of outstanding awardees whose projects will enrich our community.”
The Framingham Cultural Council will hold an appreciation event later in the spring to recognize those who have received a grant.
The Framingham Cultural Council is part of a network of 329 Local Cultural Councils serving all 351 cities and towns in the Commonwealth.
