Framingham High Dance Team Wins Winter Warm Up Competition

The Flyers are undefeated thus far this season in competition, with two wins in two events.

Two competitions this week, and two wins for the Framingham High School dance team.

The Flyers captured first place at the Winter Warm Up competition in Leominster Wednesday night.

“Our routine was very well-received and the team received overwhelming plaudits for their performance,” said Flyers head coach Lea Needham-Wood. The team performed a hip-hop routine.

On Valentine’s Day, the Flyers won the Eye of the Tiger Invitational dance division competition.

The team is led by captain Ariel Luria. Other team members are Bruna Barbalho, Allyson Rodriguez, Erin MacQueen, Careena Uppaluri, Jasmynne Ramos, and Delylah Garcia.

Next up for the Flyers is the Shepherd Hill Winter Invitational on Friday, Feb. 19 in Dudley.

Next Tuesday, Feb. 23, the Framingham High dance team will compete at the Bay State Cheer and Dance Championships at Framingham High.
