Framingham Kite Day Raises Awareness for Autism
Hundres of kites flew on Bose Hill in Framingham on Sunday to raise awareness autism.
The 13th annual Kite Day on Bose Hill in Framingham raised hundreds of kites into the air as well as awareness for a mental disorder with a rising number of cases.
Kite flying is especially well-suited to those with autism because of the quiet and highly-visual nature of the activity, said Nannette Ohman, Executive Director of the Autism Alliance for MetroWest.
The event that aimed to expose attendees to statistics about autism and increase donations to autism charities, Ohman said.
