Framingham, Natick Girl Scouts To Join To Celebrate 100th Anniversary

Natick Girl Scouts invited Framingham Girl Scouts to participate in a 100th Anniversary Promise Circle on Monday night, March 12.

On March 12, 2012, Girl Scouts across the country are gathering to celebrate the actual day that marks the 100th anniversary of Girl Scouting in America.

One hundred years ago, on March 12, 1912, Juliette Low held the first Girl Scout meeting in Savannah, Georgia. To commemorate this historic event, all Girl Scouts, girls and adults, are invited to say the Girl Scout Promise at the same time in a symbolic event called a “Promise Circle.”

Natick will hold a Promise Circle Celebration on March 12, 2012 at 7 p.m. on the Natick Common. They invited the Framingham Girl Scouts to join them. All present, former and friends of Girl Scouts are invited to attend and there is no registration required.
